I've decided to start creating a mini series of posts about my all time favourite designers, so lets start today with a longtime favourite- Irish Jonathan Anderson, aka, JW Anderson.
I first came across JW Anderson when I saw this photo of Alexa Chung in a cream ensamble involving a full skirt and cable knit sweater. (This was during my questionable Vampire Weekend obsession, so naturally I was a fan of a preppy look at this time.)

JW Anderson nails prep, without it being horrendously cringey and looking like some of the examples of styling in Gossip Girl. J Dubz (as I like to call him) gives classic styling an edgy look, he makes androdynous clothes a somewhat sexy look.
Loeweve taking on Anderson did (in my opinion) revolutionise the brand, his avant garde creative direction really turned the brand from something a bit dull into something to watch- I mean no one hasn't seen the Elephant bag - or the horrendous array of highstreet kockoffs.

Last years JW Anderson x Uniqlo collection was honestly as though all of my Christmasses had come at once, while H&M x Erdem seemed to be the colab that was grabbing most of the public's attention, I just couldnt take my eyes off the plaid puffer and rainbow jumper Jdubz was offering up. Sadly I had been financially iressponsible in the weeks leading up to the collection's release so I had to forgo the coat, but nothing was getting in the way of me and that jumper. I know I diverge but that jumper was the best purchase I've ever made. If it wasn't unsanitary I don't think I'd ever remove it. I even managed to wear it to a nightclub the other day.

Recently I decided to be once again, financially wreckless, and headed onto to the Jw Anderson website only to be greeted by a sale. Spying a 50% discount I just couldn't control myself so I found myself £140 down but with a beautiful if not hugely impractical white hoodie.

This post seems to have ended up as a documentation of my recent shopping habits.
Essentially I love JW Anderson and his classic yet edgy designs. I love the way he takes simple forms and beautiful tailoring while managing to make unique and thought provoking pieces. And I love his Rainbow jumper which has brought so much joy into my life.
