MM6 MAISON MARGIELA

I love this all over metallic look, presented in a London pub, completely covered in foil, the idea of set designer Derek Hardie Martin. The foil to me represents how something classic can be completely reinvented when recreated in silver metallic.As a nod to the brand's lesser known history, concepts for the collection was also drawn from motifs found in photographs from the Margiela archive, an idea i found particularly engaging.

Writer Gertrude Stein’s famous sentence “rose is a rose is a rose is a rose” was the starting point for Hannah Weiland’s fall 2018 Shrimps collection.Weiland created the slogan “A Shrimp is a Shrimp is a Shrimp is a Shrimp,” which found its way onto maxidresses. I love thecolours of this collection, known for their boldness Shrimps clothes never dissapoint. The luxe faux fur looks anything but tacky, even when covered in wallpaper-esque designs.

The colours used are so enticing, the way the brigt blues contrast with the ruby red of the show.
